Thrilling GT Action at Spa 6 Hours Practice

The second practice session for the upcoming FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) Spa 6 Hours race witnessed an intense battle among the top contenders in the GT category.
In the fiercely contested LMDh class, Kévin Estre in the #6 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 set the benchmark with a scintillating lap time of 2m04.162s, just 0.121s faster than the #50 Ferrari 499P of Antonio Fuoco, who had topped the earlier FP1 session on Thursday.
Close behind, Alex Lynn in the sole Chip Ganassi Racing-run Cadillac V-Series.R LMDh posted a time of 2m04.341s, just missing out on challenging the top two. Kamui Kobayashi in the #7 Toyota GR010 HYBRID LMH and Callum Ilott in the #12 Jota Porsche rounded out the top five.
LMGT3 Category Highlights
In the LMGT3 category, WEC debutant Clemens Schmid, a DTM regular in Lamborghini and McLaren machinery, took top honors in the ASP-run Lexus RC F with a time of 2m21.257s, narrowly edging out the Iron Dames Lamborghini Huracan of Michelle Gatting.
The session was interrupted by three full course yellows, though two were part of race control procedures, with the other caused by a brief off-track excursion for Darren Leung’s BMW.
