In a remarkable feat, Mercedes-AMG has been crowned the Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS global manufacturers’ champion for the fourth consecutive year, cementing its dominance in the prestigious SRO Motorsports Group competition.
The German automotive powerhouse outpaced six other leading GT3 brands, including Audi Sport, Ferrari, and Porsche, to secure the top spot in the annual championship that aggregates results from the four regional GTWC series across Europe, America, Asia, and Australia.
The trophy was presented to Mercedes-AMG’s head of Customer Racing, Stefan Wendl, ahead of the final round of the Australian season at Adelaide this weekend, as the brand’s customer teams had already accumulated an unassailable 21,518 points in the manufacturers’ standings.

Audi Sport sits in second place with 17,060 points, followed by Ferrari (13,780) and Porsche (10,644). Lamborghini, McLaren, and BMW also participated in the championship.
Mercedes-AMG’s continued success in the global GTWC competition, which was introduced in 2019 to recognize the achievements of manufacturer-backed customer teams, is a testament to the brand’s unwavering commitment to GT racing.
The highest-scoring event for Mercedes-AMG was the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa, where the brand racked up an impressive 4,664 points, contributing nearly 22% to its total.
At the London awards ceremony, Wendl also collected the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by AWS manufacturers’ trophy after Mercedes-AMG secured the title by winning the penultimate round of the season at the Indianapolis 8 Hour.
Fans can look forward to following all the SRO racing action live on the GT World YouTube page and Twitch, as the series continues to captivate motorsport enthusiasts worldwide.
