Imola, Italy – The latest round of the British GT Championship at the Imola circuit was a weekend of high drama and intense racing, showcasing the thrill and unpredictability that makes this series a must-watch for motorsport enthusiasts.
On Saturday, the #85 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 of Imperiale Racing dominated the opening race, with Philippes Denes and Jack Bartholomew leading from start to finish. However, their victory was short-lived as the car was later disqualified due to being underweight in post-race technical checks.
Redemption for Imperiale Racing
Sunday’s Race 2 brought redemption for the Imperiale Racing team, as Denes and Bartholomew once again clinched the win, this time in challenging wet conditions. The race was marked by several incidents, including a crash that brought out the Safety Car, but the #85 Lamborghini managed to hold on and secure a well-deserved victory.
“The race was not without its own drama, as the #7 BMW M4 GT3 of Ceccato Motors, driven by Jake Dennis and Jens Klingmann, finished a strong second, while the #52 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 of Konsta Lappalainen and Kari Nurmi completed the podium.”
