In the GT3 category, Ian Loggie and the #6 Ram Racing Mercedes hold a commanding lead in the drivers’ championship, with 135 points to their name. However, the battle is far from over, as the Barwell Motorsport pairing of Adam Balon and Sandy Mitchell sit just 24.5 points behind, with James Cottingham and Lewis Williamson a further 8 points adrift on 102 points. However, Richard Williams and Sennan Fielding of Steller Motorsport are hot on their heels, trailing by just 12.5 points, while Josh Miller and Jamie Day of R Racing round out the top three with 133.5 points.

Celebrating 30 Years of British GT Championship

This weekend’s event holds additional significance, as it marks the 30th anniversary of the British GT Championship, which held its inaugural race here at Donington Park back in 1993. The championship’s current sponsor, Intelligent Money, is also celebrating its 20-year anniversary, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.

    Notable Entries Bolster the Grid

In addition to the championship decider, the grid will be bolstered by several notable entries, including the return of Beechdean AMR, as well as the presence of Le Mans class winner Warren Hughes in the Greystone GT McLaren. Alexander Sims will also be back in action, pairing up with Darren Leung in the Century Motorsport BMW GT3.
