    Lamborghini Oregon Dominates at Monza in Dramatic Weekend of Italian GT Championship Action

    (Monza, Italy – June 4, 2023) The Italian GT Championship delivered a thrilling weekend of racing at the iconic Monza circuit, with the Lamborghini Oregon team emerging victorious in both Race 1 and Race 2 amid a series of dramatic incidents.

    Race 1: Lamborghini Oregon Victorious

    In the opening race, the Lamborghini Oregon #63 driven by Chovet and Paul maintained the lead from start to finish, fending off a strong challenge from the Audi #777 of Olimp Racing. After the pitstops, the Getspeed Mercedes #6 briefly took the lead, but the Lamborghini Oregon duo regained control and went on to win by over 20 seconds. Their teammates in the Lamborghini Oregon #19, however, were less fortunate, ending up in the wall at the Roggia chicane just kilometers from the finish.

    Race 2: Dramatic Finish

    Race 2 saw the Lamborghini Oregon #63 again take the lead from the start, but the race was interrupted by several safety car periods due to incidents involving the Kessel Racing Ferrari #133 and the Lamborghini #8. In the closing stages, the Ferrari #51 of AF Corse made a brilliant comeback to take the lead, only to be relegated to second place after a series of post-race penalties. The final classification saw the Mercedes #20 of SPS Automotive Performance claim the victory, with the Ferrari #51 in second and the Lamborghini Oregon #63 third.

    Class Wins

    Elsewhere, Basz and Jedlinski in the Audi R8 LMS #777 of Olimp Racing took the PROAM class win, while Jedlinski and Korzeniowski in the Ferrari 296 GT3 #5 of Olimp Racing were victorious in the AM class.
