The #23 Porsche 911 Dakar of Joel Eriksson, Jaxon Evans and Thomas Preining emerged victorious in the highly competitive T1 class, defeating a host of seasoned Dakar competitors. This breakthrough success marks a significant milestone for Porsche, which has been steadily improving its Dakar program in recent years.

“This is a truly historic moment for Porsche at the Dakar Rally,” said an elated Fritz Enzinger, Vice President of Porsche Motorsport. “Our team has worked tirelessly to develop the 911 Dakar, and to see it claim victory in such a challenging event is a testament to their dedication and the capabilities of the car.”

The #23 crew dominated the event, overcoming the extreme conditions of the Dakar Rally to finish over 30 minutes ahead of the second-placed Toyota. Porsche’s impressive performance was further bolstered by a podium finish for the #22 car of Dorian Boccolacci, Ayhancan Guven and Laurin Heinrich, who claimed the final step of the podium.

    The Dakar Rally’s Continued Challenge

The Dakar Rally is renowned as one of the toughest motorsport events in the world, with this year’s edition featuring 67 entrants across five categories. Porsche’s triumph comes as the manufacturer continues to expand its customer racing program, with the 911 Dakar proving its mettle on the world’s most grueling off-road stage.
