    Verstappen Storms to Sprint Qualifying Pole at Austrian GP

    Zandvoort, Netherlands – In a thrilling turn of events at the Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has secured pole position for the upcoming Sprint race after a dominant performance in Sprint Qualifying.

    Posting a blistering lap time of 1:04.686, the Dutchman extended his unbeaten streak over a single lap at the Red Bull Ring, leaving his closest rival, Lando Norris of McLaren, 0.093 seconds behind in second place.

    Norris’ McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri, rounded out the top three, with Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz splitting the two Mercedes cars, as George Russell and Lewis Hamilton finished fourth and sixth, respectively.

    Sergio Perez, Verstappen’s Red Bull teammate, could only manage seventh, while the Alpine duo of Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly made it through to Q3 and capitalized on a disappointing showing from Charles Leclerc, who failed to set a lap time.
