British GT Championship and Pirelli Extend Partnership Until 2028
In a move that solidifies their long-standing relationship, the SRO Motorsports Group and renowned tire manufacturer Pirelli have announced the extension of their partnership for the British GT Championship and other prestigious GT racing series until the end of 2028.
The two entities finalized a five-year deal on Sunday, ensuring that Pirelli will continue to be the exclusive tire supplier for the Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS competitions in Europe, America, Asia, and Australia. The agreement also covers the GT4 European Series powered by Rafa Racing Club and the Fanatec GT2 European Series, with the latter set to carry a ‘powered by Pirelli’ suffix starting in 2024.
“Success in motor racing requires the very best partners, and in Pirelli, we have exactly that,” stated Stephane Ratel, the founder and CEO of SRO Motorsports Group. “For the past decade, they have provided a world-class product to our teams, while also adding considerable commercial and technical support to our series and one-off events around the globe. It was natural, therefore, that we should extend our cooperation by a further five years.”
Pirelli’s commitment to the British GT Championship and other SRO-organized series is a testament to the brand’s dedication to providing high-performance tires and exceptional technical support to the teams and drivers competing in these elite GT racing competitions. The company’s ongoing partnership with SRO began with its supply of the GTWC Europe Endurance Cup in 2013.

With this long-term extension, the British GT Championship and other SRO-organized GT series can look forward to continued excellence in tire performance and technical support from Pirelli, ensuring the highest levels of competition and excitement for both teams and spectators alike.
