In a significant move for the upcoming 2023 Intelligent Money British GT Championship, the successful GT Cup champions Simon Orange and Michael O’Brien have committed to a full-time campaign in the series, piloting the Orange Racing powered by JMH McLaren 720S GT3. The Pro-Am pairing is eager to carry forward their momentum, having secured a commendable fourth-place finish at the 2022 Donington Decider.

Porsche Carrera Cup GB regulars Toro Verde will make their debut in the Intelligent Money British GT Championship this season, fielding a Ginetta G56 GT4 car driven by James Townsend and Ian Duggan. Both drivers have progressed through the Ginetta motorsport ladder, with Duggan winning the 2022 Ginetta GT4 Super Cup AM championship and Townsend finishing third in the series last year.

The British GT Championship is set to welcome an impressive lineup of Ginetta racing series in 2023, as the renowned British manufacturer partners with SRO Motorsports Group for a three-year collaboration. This strategic move will see Ginetta’s Junior, GT Academy, and a new GT Championship integrated into the British GT and BTCC/TOCA support packages, offering a clear ladder of progression for Ginetta racers.

In the latest pre-event testing for the Dakar Rally 2023, the Orange Racing powered by JMH team made a strong impression, with Michael O’Brien and Simon Orange securing the fastest lap in the mixed, cold, wet, and drying conditions. The session saw the order constantly changing as the track dried, with drivers like Euan Hankey, Jules Gounon, and Lewis Williamson all taking turns at the top of the timesheets.
