Formula E: Andretti and Porsche Extend Partnership for Four More Years
In a significant announcement made ahead of the Formula E event in Porsche’s home city of Berlin, it has been revealed that Andretti Autosport will continue its partnership with the German manufacturer for the next four seasons.
The American team has been using Porsche’s 99X Electric powertrain since the start of the current Gen3 era in 2022, after previous partner BMW withdrew from the all-electric championship. This collaboration has proven fruitful, with Andretti claiming two race wins and the maiden Formula E drivers’ title last season, courtesy of Jake Dennis, despite some on-track tensions with factory driver Pascal Wehrlein.
“When we signed the original agreement, we weren’t in a position to be able to sign a four-year contract because Porsche at the time hadn’t committed to Formula E beyond the end of Season 10. We went into it hoping they would continue onwards and hoping they would still want to be partnered with us.”

Porsche’s Formula E team principal, Florian Modlinger, expressed his enthusiasm for the continuation of the partnership, stating:
“It’s also thanks to Andretti that the Porsche 99X Electric has had great results over the last one and half seasons, including Jake Dennis’ world championship win. The exchange between the two teams contributes to the car’s performance, and that’s exactly what we’re all looking for – to enter Gen3 Evo in a well-working partnership makes me very optimistic for Seasons 11 and 12.”
As the Formula E season reaches its midpoint, Porsche currently leads the newly introduced Manufacturers’ Trophy by a margin of eight points over Jaguar. This strong performance has been driven by the impressive form of both Dennis and Wehrlein, who have each secured multiple race wins this season.
The extended partnership between Andretti and Porsche will undoubtedly be a key factor in their continued success in the highly competitive world of Formula E, as the series prepares to enter the Gen3 Evo era in the coming seasons.
